The Bittern & Wherry Lines Web Sites Win National Awards

Organised by the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP), the aim of the awards is to celebrate excellence in community rail development work. The winners were announced at the Community Rail Awards Gala dinner at Bexhill on Sea on Friday 28 September 2007.

The Bittern and Wherry Lines were short-listed in three categories:
  • Best Community Railway Photograph
  • Best Station Garden
  • Best Web site
In each category the Rail partnerships were successful.

Third prize was awarded to the Bittern Line for Best Community Rail Image.



Second prize was awarded to The Wherry Lines for Acle station (Deborah Mann the station adopter).

First Prize was awarded jointly to The Wherry and Bittern Lines for the best Web sites at www.bitternline.com and www.wherrylines.org.uk
