Spring Events

Easter Funfair 6 – 9 April Chapelfield Gardens
French Market 6 - 9 April Gentleman’s Walk

The ever-popular French Market will be returning to Norwich City Centre this year at Easter and in the Autumn. There will be over 30 stalls of authentic French produce including the essential cheeses, olives, garlic and French bread.

Summer Events

Lord Mayors Celebration 11- 15 July
Five days of celebrations including, a street procession, fireworks, a three-day music festival, funfair, outdoor theatre, cinema and comedy, dancers, street artists and lots more. This is the cities biggest community celebration and is set in the heart of the city on the streets of Norwich

Openstages July – September
A summer celebration of local theatre. Not only will there be many performances in the venues across the city but a series of free outdoor performances in the parks and open spaces.

Children’s Summer holiday activities throughout August
Looking for something to do with the children this summer? There are many free activities for children in the parks and open spaces to keep them amused for hours! Visit one of our open spaces with all they have to offer or attend one of the free events below organised for children.

ChildPlay Outdoor Theatre Friday to Sunday throughout August
Free outdoor performances in the open spaces during the summer holiday to enchant and delight children. Sponsored by Marsh

KidZone Every Wednesday throughout August
Action packed days of fun for children during the summer holidays. The events are free and set in various open spaces around the city. Activities include: arts and crafts, sports, music, performances, interactive workshops and lots more.
PlayZone Every Thursday throughout August
The Playbus leads this crafty tour of local parks. A place to meet your friends for two hours of arts crafts punch and Judy and face painting.

Sparks in the Park 3 November
The best firework displays for miles, fantastic entertainment including fire sculpture, roadshow and funfair. Two firework displays one for children at 6:30pm and the Big Bang Spectacular at 8:30pm.

Christmas Events

Christmas Lights Switch on November (tbc)
The city is lit up when Father Christmas turns on the citys festive lights. There will be a reindeer family in St Peter Mancroft Churchyard.

Ice Sculpture Trail 16 December
Take a break from the mayhem of Christmas shopping and walk around this beautiful and magical trail of life size ice sculptures the Sunday before Christmas. The sculptures are all individually carved by artists. There will be a live carving on Hayhill by artists from Duncan Hamilton Ice Sculpture.
