General Information on the Wherry Lines |
Volunteers Needed
Would you like to help the Bittern and Wherry Lines Rail Partnerships?
We are always looking for volunteers to help promote the Norwich to Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Sheringham local railways. We take our publicity stands to various locations including Norwich Castle Mall, London and other locations when available. Last year the stand was at Plymouth, London, Sheringham and Norwich.
These are usually quite social occasions and we ensure that all helpers have a break. The job entails giving details on what we do and helping to load unload materials for our displays and sometimes driving equipment between locations. Petrol costs are paid for.
A free train ticket is available for travel to events away from Norwich and basic expenses such as refreshments on the day can be claimed.
We are especially looking for volunteer car drivers to take our display to shows and events. We cover petrol costs.
